MTV and its programs are obscene.

- is anything that makes the viewer uncomfortable
- is also subjective to the viewer
- should be regulated more harshly
- is in music videos, tv show content, ( innuendos)
- is offensive
- can encourage racism
- is not intelligent
Ok right. But I would focus in on MTV and the programs on there. To rephrase it in the formula: "MTV and its programs are obscene". The negative effects are part of this. Also, keep in mind that "obscenity" has legal ramifications that will allow you to connect up to the "should be regulated". This is important since it is not just a moral issue but this makes it a political one. You need to make this clear in the paper.
